The Parish Pastoral Council is the primary consulting group in the parish. The pastor makes the ultimate decisions, but the council makes suggestions to help guide him. The Council strives for consensus decision making, which requires more time and greater skill among participants, but leaves the group with a greater sense of satisfaction in the process. The Council sees itself primarily as a community of believing leaders selected by the parish to discern in prayer what the Holy Spirit is saying to Holy Cross, as we address the many issues brought before the group. We listen to our fellow parishioners and to the Holy Spirit, opening and closing each meeting with prayer for guidance.
The Council concerns itself mainly with the establishment of policies and the determination of goals, but not the setting up and carrying out of the objectives.
Meetings are held throughout the year in the Rectory at 7:00 p.m. and will be announced.
Parishioners are encouraged to contact members of the Council with comments and concerns.
